Limits of Language, Limits of World
The limits of my language means the limits of my world
Ludwig Wittgenstein
Ludwig Wittgenstein : philosopher, representative of philosophy of language. philosophy of language, generally speaking, advocates the essential of philosophy is language.
For a philosopher, this sentence, maybe it express more meanings. But for me, it's enough that it became my motivity to study new languages.
Someone said to me, English is the language which has both complexity and simplicity, i reply him he think so because he can't speak Chinsese. As my first language, Modern Chinese makes me feel so comfortable, and the Classical Chinese, makes me fascinated. As a country has wide land, China need you spend life long time to explore, of course if you want.
But you explore more unknown, you can feel more about the exsitence of a bigger, more various world out of the wide border. The Esperanto is just a beautiful dream, the differences between people produce the goodliness, but also cause the evil. The Babel Tower in Bible Story actually exists in every field: region, race, belief, custom. Language just the first fence of these handicaps.
